| The Kyoto Protocol requires
rich countries to reduce greenhouse gas emissions (CO2, CH4, N2O and a few
others). To reduce costs of reducing greenhouse gas emissions, it is possible
to use three mechanisms: Emission trading, Joint Implementation (JI) and
Clean Development Mechanism (CDM). We are mainly active in the field of
CDM, which allows rich countries to buy Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emission reductions
from projects in developing countries, provided that the project contributes
to sustainable development and has the approval of the host country's government.
Our GHG services to project owners in developing countries comprise: |
- Identification of potential CDM projects
- Development of the GHG emission reduction documentation in accordance
with international rules
- Marketing of GHG emission reductions on behalf of the project owner
- Advisory services in contract negotiations
